HPP fitting out new apartments in the city

Oldham-based findustry doors, boards and fittings supplier Hill’s Panel Products (HPP) is providing products for hundreds of new apartments in Manchester city centre.
HPP is supplying and manufacturing furniture and fittings to Beech Design & Build, a leading landlord and developer of apartments for young professionals, students and visitors.
The work, worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, is ongoing and began in late 2016.
It sees HPP potentially providing products for contracts covering between 1,500 and 1,700 apartments.
Kitchens, bedrooms and bathroom furniture and fittings have been supplied for a variety of redeveloped properties on key city centre locations including Portland Street, Princess Street and Cross Street.
HPP serves the national KBB fitting industry, supplying trade fitters and contract clients.
It has over 2,000 UK trade customers and employs more than 185 staff across Oldham and Sheffield, where it has a second distribution centre.
It supplies products including Avanti doors and HPP’s own manufactured range of Glide sliding doors, PVC-edged Aspects doors and vinyl-wrapped Aspire doors.
It also supplies products by brands such as Egger, Kronospan, XyloCleaf, Blum and Sensio.
Shaun Nolan, HPP’s national contracts manager, said: “Our work in Manchester city centre ranges from top-specification apartments in Portland Street to student-type accommodation on Princess Street."
Redeveloped buildings vary in size and age.
With older buildings, Nolan said no two apartments are exactly the same, but HPP can handle all sorts of size variations and bespoke needs.
He added: “This is the first time that HPP has worked with this client.
"They like our complete turn-key service, which satisfied vital factors including the scale of work, time constraints and prices.”
HPP worked with the Manchester client’s head specifiers and architects.
HPP presented the first range of samples in autumn of 2016, with fit-outs starting in December and continuing.
